This Sambalpuri bandha/Ikat sarees are unique cultural identity of Odisha. A beautiful traditional weave is available in cotton and silk fabric and are decorated with intricate double Ikat. Technique “Bandha” is nothing but Ikat technique which involves tying and dyeing the fabric before it is woven. Sambalpuri sarees are weave in double Ikat. The process is complex and time-consuming. Firstly, the yarn is tied then dyed in different colors according to the design of the saree. Then, the threads are hand-woven on a loom to create the saree with beautiful geometrical patterns and living, non-living motifs. Today, these sarees are considered to be a symbol of Odisha’s rich culture and heritage.
This Red Black saree as mentioned above woven with multi-colored dyed yarn to acquire desired design of Sports Equipments motifs such as Badminton Rackets,Balls,Cycles,Chess board, Ludo are incorporated on the body. Contrast rudraksha border and motifs like Lock and Key,Cycle, Spanner are on the pallu.

• Handwash in suggested cold water
• Use some starch for tight and firmness
• Line dry or dip dry in shade
• Do not squeeze or wring
• Store in clean and dry place away from excessive light and moisture
• Dry under the shade
